After the 2008 Presidential election, the Privacy Coalition sent a letter to President Obama on the privacy priorities facing the nation. Now we are asking you to help evaluate the progress of the new Administration. For each topic below, please read the description and provide a grade. Cybersecurity is about protecting information in databases, communication networks, and access to Internet-based services. Privacy may be threatened when cybersecurity leads to increased surveillance of network users for other purposes. The administration has conducted an extensive cybersecurity review. In a major speech, President Obama said that cybersecurity will not involve mass collection or monitoring of Internet communications.
